Emergency First Response (EFR) is a PADI affiliate which specialises in teaching primary and secondary care. The EFR primary and secondary care course covers CPR and first aid techniques and helps you gain the confidence to help in an emergency. First aid and CPR are good skills for anyone involved in adventure sports – just in case.
This course (or an equivalent) is required for the PADI Rescue Diver course.

In the EFR primary and secondary care course, you will cover:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
- AED (automated external defibrillator) use (optional)
- Preventing and caring for shock
- Spinal injury management
- Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk
- Basic first aid and first aid kit considerations
Saturday 7th August
There is also the EFR Care for Children course which teaches you to provide emergency care for injured or ill children and infants. This course is a must for those with families and about to have a baby, or even those who occasionally look after young children for relatives or friends. It can either be taught as a stand-alone course or as a two hour add-on to the EFR Primary & Secondary Care course. Please contact us for more information.
