We will be diving with Tenerife Dive (www.tenerifedive.com), a PADI 5 Star Instructor
Development Centre. We have dived with them on several previous occasions and we will be
well looked after.
Tenerife Dive is located in Costa Del Silencio, close to the resorts of Los Cristianos and Las
Americas and one minute from the harbour and seafront promenade of Las Galletas, a
picturesque Spanish fishing village.
Diving in Tenerife is a fabulous experience for both novice and experienced scuba divers. There
are a variety of dive sites and marine life includes stingrays, Atlantic rays, angel sharks, moray
eels, octopus, arrow crabs and large schools of roncador (type of bream) and damselfish. Most
dive sites have varied depths, which mean all levels of certification and experience can be catered
for. We normally come back to the harbour between dives and have lunch or coffee at a nearby
restaurant.

All dives are relatively close to shore and are within a 15 minute boat trip from the harbour so,
for those people who are not very good on boats, there is no need to worry about spending hours
getting to the dive sites. The boat has a dive guide and a skipper who stays on the boat during the
dives and it is equipped with two oxygen kits and all the other safety equipment necessary to
ensure your safety.
In November, the water temperature will be about 22 degrees.
The Accommodation:
The dive centre arranges accommodation for us in 1 or 2 bedroom apartments at Parque Don
Jose, a holiday complex in Costa Del Silencio, a few minutes walk from the dive centre. The
apartments are privately owned and all have a fridge, freezer and washing machine. There are
numerous free sunbeds located around the large swimming pool and a separate pool for children.
Though the area has many bars and restaurants, it is quieter than the bustling resorts of Los
Cristianos and Las Americas and is for that reason, often preferred by family groups. Las
Galletas, a picturesque Spanish fishing village is a pleasant ten minutes walk from the complex.
The seafront promenade in Las Galletas is the ideal place to relax with a cool drink and watch the
sun go down.

The Price:
The price for a 4 night stay, arriving on 11th November and departing on 15th November, comes to £270 plus flights
(non divers: £125 plus flights). This includes room only accommodation (shared) in a one or two bedroom apartment, airport transfers in Tenerife, and a three day dive package (2 dives per day), which
will all be payable in advance to Tenerife Dive via their UK sterling account, and a arrangement
fee payable to Manta Divers Limited. It may also be possible for a third dive each day, this will be payable locally.
For flights to Tenerife South (TFS), the best price that we have found from London Gatwick is
with Easyjet - £68 (as at 1 May 2010). 20kg of check in luggage costs an additional £16 and, if you wish to take all your own dive equipment with you and it weights more than 20kg, you can
also purchase an additional 12kg of sports equipment allowance. Alternatively, you can arrange
to hire all your equipment from Tenerife Dive at a cost of approximately £8 per day (this will be payable
locally on arrival but please notify us in advance if you wish to arrange this).
To Book:
Telephone 07956 149294 or email info@mantadivers.co.uk to reserve your place.
Once we have confirmed your place, you can then go ahead and book your flight. Please send us
details of your flight arrangements and we will then give you the payment details for the above
package. £155 of this is due on booking, with the remaining £115 payable by 1 October 2010.
Don’t leave it too late as the flights will only go up in price!!
